Trever's school has a ton of activities planned for the children at the end of the year that for the children that met their reading goals for the school year. Each year they have a Book Character Parade. Today the parade is being held.
Trever chose to be a Motorcyclist, specifically a Dirt Biker!
Colson chose to be Steve Irwin, The Crocodile Hunter!
Madyson chose to be Fancy Nancy!
Here are all three kids posing in the costumes. I should note that all 3 kids worked very hard planning their own costumes. Brianna and I spent over an hour in Wal-mart brainstorming with the kids to come up with cost effective costumes that displayed the characters they wanted to each be.
Colson, luckily already owned the dirt biker shirt, so Trever borrowed that and we picked up some Dickie shorts for him to wear. He already owns the helmet since he owns a dirt bike!
Madyson shopped and shopped for each individual accessory that completes her outfit! She is rocking it as Fancy Nancy!
Colson was particular about his costume. He really wanted to have a "zoo keeper" type shirt. And what do you know Wal-Mart had very little in the way of zoo keeper shirts. So we found a white button down shirt and used the trusty ole RIT dye to get he look he wanted to achieve. He added the toy snake and alligator to complete the outfit!
