WILD Spring Break

Spring Break for the 2009-2010 school year for Duval County was the first week of April. Trever and Tyler had a great spring break. They got to spend Monday with Grandma, Tuesday with Mimi & Papa, Wednesday with Aunt Sarah and Thursday with their sitter Simone. On Friday Troy and I took Trever, Tyler and our neice and newphew, Madyson & Colson to Wild Adventures, Valdosta, GA.

The drive is about 2 hours from our front door to their parking lot. The were running a great special on year passes that would include water park admission for $59 per person. We couldn't pass these up! I believe Disney charges $69 per park per day! This park has lots more amusement rides for children of all ages than the Orlando Parks offer. We arrived around noon and spent 8 hours riding rides, eating "fair" food and enjoying each others company.

The children all behaved so wonderfully with each other and took turns riding with one another, etc. Trever and Madyson are dare devils and had no problem riding every ride the park would allow them to ride. This year the children were all tall enough to ride the roller coasters. Trever suprised us so much in that he LOVED the scariest roller coasters. http://www.wildadventures.net/RidesAttractions/Rides/tabid/406/Category/2/thrill/Default.aspx

When we were leaving the park we gave the children the option to ride one ride one last time. Trever chose to ride the Boomerang again! No one else was interested in that thrill ride again, so he rode alone. I stood at the entrance until the ride shot off (literally) then ran to the exit to make certain not to lose eyes on him for a minute. My stomach was in knots knowing that my big boy was on the ride. We had a great time!

Tyler was able to ride a good amount of rides. His head barely crested over the taped lines they had for 36". He really enjoyed the slide that you see in the collage above. He looks forward to when he can ride the big rides like "bubba!"
